Lately, I've been fancying doing another short film and there was a time when I had an encyclopedic knowledg...

I'd never actually seen that one before. Definitely in the top 5% of all student films.

Re: One Shots (or numbers)

Smoking in films is cool.

fuck all the idiots who thought that meant they should do it outside of film and now we can only have it in film if it's set before 1990.

Outlining a script

I like writing, well that isn’t quite true but I do like having written. I’m a pretty good, or at least a pretty fast writer, assuming I have an outline to work from. This is where it all breaks down for me unfortunately, Breaking a story is like pulling teeth, except having had a tooth pulled it wa...

Re: The "I just watched a movie" thread

https://www.edgehill.ac.uk/events/files/2018/12/Stan-and-Ollie-1.jpg I really enjoyed Stand and Ollie, I don’t know much about Laurel and Hardy outside of seeing their films on afternoon telly when I was very, very young but the story of the double act that’s been through it’s ups and downs really ...

Re: ITT Faldor becomes a Frenchman, Gets job on TV show...

so, I finished my contract in January and have stayed in France whilst my wife was working on a film in the UK (I even got a text from Ornsack saying "I thought I just walked past your wife, but she lives in France?"). Now that that job has finished I have spent the last month travelling between Bri...

I definitely intend to shoot another short film this year, even if it is just another one of me and Stu running around and adding explosions in after.

Re: 2k Film Fest #...6? Or 7? I don't remember

I'm down.

Currently, I'm in the middle of moving to another country and looking for a new job so I totally don't have time for any of this, but I'm more than down for signing up and then not finishing it. I don't really think you can ask more than that anymore? ;)

Re: Bond 25

I feel bad for Idris, he never went after the role. The press just started asking him when he was going to be Bond. I do find a lot of the speculation ridiculous as I doubt that got so far as reaching out to anyone with Craig signed on for another film and now that's in production I wouldn't expect ...

I'm not really one to listen to scores but I would like for David Arnold to do another one. He usually had a good knack for title songs too.

Re: Bond 25

I love the Bond films but I'm definitely feeling more reserved about "Shatterhand" after the lacklustre Spectre. I like Craig as Bond and I'm glad he's getting one more outing. His tenure has certainly been mixed with two outstanding films and two definitively mediocre. I thought both "Casino Royale...

Re: Sci-Fi novel recommendations

I just read Altered Carbon I've not seen the series on Netflix (Honest, I avoid most streaming shows these days as they usually have some Chad Peter involvement) but I gotta say. It was one dull novel. Why is it whenever writers think of an interesting concept, Asteroid mining, The Nazis won the war...

Re: The "I just watched a movie" thread

Green Book was an interesting film about two guys who although initially don't really get along after driving around in a car for a while become firm friends!

Seriously though, I enjoyed it.
